PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Shekel (Silver, 28 mm, 13.68 g, 12 h), CY 115 = 12/1 BC. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TYPOY IEPAΣ KAI AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow with palm frond behind; in field to left, PIE above club; in field to right, KP above BN. RPC I 4645. Nicely toned. Several scratches and the reverse double struck, otherwise, very fine.
